Hey everyone,
I've finally gotten approval from ANU Security for ANUCON2012, so it's definitely on the 13-14th of October!
Regarding times, I'm currently leaning towards 9:00-5:30 each day, with lunch at 1:30, as this seems to be an acceptable compromise for most people (not too early, but doesn't finish too late either). If anyone has any particular comments regarding the times, please feel free to let me know.
I will be releasing more details in the coming weeks, and I hope to have at least a draft player's pack out early next month.
Details are subject to change at any time, but at the moment:
1500pts
6x games including 1 paired game (1000pts per player)
$35 if paid before 30 September, $40 on the day
Includes BBQ lunch both days (please let me know if you have any specific requests, we will do our best to accommodate them)
Allies: allowed, but not Special Characters (to stop the most egregious selections)
Special Characters: allowed (but only for your primary army)
Forgeworld (including army lists): allowed with TO approval (must have actual book/models), not Superheavies or Gargantuan creatures or Apocalypse formations
Disallowed: Fortifications (due to deployment rules), Spearhead formations, Apocalypse formations, Cities of Death stratagems
As ANUCON2012 is an friendly, easy-going tournament, the points scoring will be as follows. Yes, that's a lot of sports points - but that's intentional!
40% Battle, 40% Sports, 20% Army (Painting+Comp)
Prizes (probably:)
1st Overall
1st Battle
1st Sports
2nd Sports
Max Wallace Encouragement Award (Wooden Spoon)
Best Painted Army*
Best Army Theme*
Best Presented Model*
* These all are TO-selected awards - last year, there were a couple of contenders for the Best Army award, so I've split them out this year so I can reward more people this time around.
Any questions or comments, please let me know!
Looking forward to seeing lots of people there,
Luke
